Hayden Panettiere has set up a charity to help save whales off the coast of Japan.
Panettiere joined protestors last year but could not stop fisherman from hurting sea life. Contactmusic.com reports that she was even caught on camera crying about her failed efforts while she defended herself from angry fishermen's harpoons.
She is now using her fame to lend a hand to the cause. She launched the website panettierecloset.com where she will sell off items from her wardrobe. All proceeds will go to the ‘Save the Whales Again’ campaign.
